Post Office® services for TSB personal customers

With over 11,500 locations in the UK, you are able to do a lot of your banking at the Post Office, completely free of charge.

Services available for TSB personal customers

You can deposit cash using:

  • your debit card and PIN
  • or a personalised pre-printed pay-in slip

  • Cash deposits will be accepted at any Post Office® counter
  • You will be issued with a receipt
  • The money will be applied to your account immediately if using a debit card or the next working day if using a pre-printed pay-in slip.

From 14 October 2022 the maximum amount of cash you’ll be able to deposit into your TSB account at the Post Office® will be £1,500 per day and £10,000 annually. Personal Current Account customers can deposit cash using their debit card and PIN or using a pre-printed pay-in slip. Personal Savings customers can pay-in cash using a pre-printed pay-in slip.

Some individual Post Office® limits may be lower, to check please go to postoffice.co.uk. Cheque deposits are not affected by the deposit limit, and you’ll still be able to make deposits through any of our branches and make online transfers as usual.

Cash and cheque deposit important information

  • Post Office® branches may have different cut-off times for paying in cash and cheques. Please check at the branch you plan on visiting by using the Post Office Branch Finder
  • If you deposit after the cut-off time your deposit will take an additional working day to be processed.

You can deposit cheques using:

  • a personalised pre-printed pay-in slip
  • and a TSB specific cheque envelope (available at the Post Office)

  • Cheque deposits will be accepted at any Post Office® counter
  • Your cheques and pre-printed pay-in slip should be placed into the TSB specific envelope and sealed
  • Cheques will be applied to your account when received by us, this is normally the next working day.  It will then follow the existing cheque clearing cycle.

There is no limit to the number of cheques deposited, however without a pre-printed pay-in slip you will not be able to deposit cheques.

You can withdraw cash using:

  • any Post Office ATM free of charge, to find your nearest Post Office ATM check the Post Office website
  • your debit or ATM card and PIN
  • Cash withdrawals are available at any Post Office® counter
  • You will be issued with a receipt

You can order a new PIN by logging into your Internet Banking and in the ‘Your account tools’ section select ‘Replacement cards and PINs’. You can also do this in the TSB Mobile Banking App by selecting ‘Manage cards and PINs’ from the app menu.
