TSB announces Robin Bulloch as CEO

The Board of TSB, with the support of Sabadell, is pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Robin Bulloch as CEO. Robin has led TSB on an interim basis for the past four months, and prior to that was Chief Customer Officer.  

Robin has a strong track record in retail banking spanning over four decades, working in leadership roles for Royal Bank of Scotland, Tesco Bank and Lloyds Banking Group, before joining TSB in 2019.

During his time as interim CEO, Robin has overseen a strong set of full year results, ongoing momentum in commercial performance, a steady flow of innovation to support customers and development of an updated growth strategy.

Commenting on the appointment, TSB’s Chair Nick Prettejohn, said: “This was a unanimous choice of both the TSB and Sabadell Boards. Robin is an outstanding leader with deep determination to give TSB customers the best possible experience. I have seen first-hand the impact he is having engaging and motivating our teams to deliver our Money Confidence purpose.”

Robin Bulloch joined TSB in 2019 and was appointed interim CEO in December 2021.

During his time as interim CEO, Robin has overseen a strong set of full year results, ongoing momentum in commercial performance, a steady flow of innovation to support customers and development of an updated growth strategy.

Prior to this he was Chief Customer Officer and was at the heart of transforming the TSB customer experience. He developed the bank’s customer proposition and distribution strategies as well as developing the bank’s support for business customers, and the TSB brand relaunch in 2020.

Robin has broad industry expertise across consumer banking, business banking and insurance with a strong reputation for delivering business and cultural transformation in a banking career that spans over four decades.

Before joining TSB, Robin was Managing Director for Community Banking at Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland prior to which he led Lloyds Banking Group’s general insurance division. Prior to this he worked for RBS Group (now NatWest Group), holding senior roles including Managing Director at RBS and NatWest Branch Banking and Chief Executive of Tesco Personal Finance (now Tesco Bank).

He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute, having previously served on their Board and the Board of Scottish Financial Enterprise.

Robin lives in Glasgow and is married with two daughters.
