Alison Straszewski appointed TSB Chief Financial Officer

30th July 2025

TSB have appointed Alison Straszewski Chief Financial Officer (CFO), subject to regulatory approval and on an interim basis. This follows Declan Hourican’s longstanding decision to leave TSB to take up an external position. He leaves TSB later this summer, after an orderly handover.

Alison joined TSB in 2012 and became Treasurer in 2018. Alongside this change, Jodie Thompson, Customer Services Director, and Carlos Bas, General Counsel, have also joined the Executive Committee.

Marc Armengol, TSB Chief Executive, said:

“We are grateful for Declan’s contribution over the past four years and wish him well for the future. Alison is one of our most experienced leaders, with a real passion for TSB, making her an ideal choice for CFO. I’m delighted to welcome Alison, Carlos and Jodie to the Executive Committee”.

Notes to Editors

  • Declan resigned prior to the proposed Santander deal and TSB is communicating this and his succession after H1 results (delivered on 24 July), as planned.
