Account features

Free day-to-day banking can make all the difference to a new business. It makes sure that every single penny you earn goes towards creating a successful business.


  • Banking on your doorstep - we have a large branch network in the UK, so there should always be one nearby.
  • Banking on your computer - our Internet Banking service is currently used by over half of our business customers.
  • Banking on your mobile - receive daily updates on your account balance via our Text alerts service.

During the first 18 months you will not be charged for:

  • paying in or taking out cash
  • paying in or issuing cheques
  • paying standing orders and direct debits
  • unlimited deposits and withdrawals
  • no minimum account balance required

All we ask is that you operate your account within agreed limits, for example not going overdrawn without prior agreement.

Once your free banking period ends, you have the option of moving to one of our alternative tariffs. Which one is best for your business will depend on the number and type of transactions you typically do.

Fixed Fee Account

Simply pay a fixed monthly fee for a certain number of transactions - with five levels to choose from to suit your needs. And if those needs change, you can simply change your plan.


Business Extra Tariff

Pay individual charges per transaction instead of a fixed monthly fee. This tariff is suitable for customers who use large cash transactions.


Electronic Business Tariff

If you use electronic or automated ways of banking you can benefit from lower charges for those types of transactions. You pay per transaction and not a fixed monthly fee.

Minimum balance of £1 applies.

Check you're eligible

When you apply you need to confirm that:

  • You are a sole trader, partner or director
  • You are aged 18 or over
  • You require the account for business use
  • You have read the Terms and Conditions
