Local charities make a positive difference to people's lives in communities everywhere. Lots of people simply wouldn't cope without the support they receive from these organisations.
We wanted to support this great work, so last year we launched our Local Community Partnerships where our branches and head offices each selected a local charity to support. Every charity benefits from an initial donation and then, throughout the year, TSB Partners raise money and give their time to support the great work these organisations do.
In the first year TSB Partners helped more than 480 local charities raising a total of almost £900,000. This money has helped fund life-saving - and life-enhancing - projects including:
- Helping to keep the Cornwall Air Ambulance helicopter flying.
- Purchasing life-saving equipment for North Nottinghamshire Community First Responders to use on patients before an ambulance or paramedic arrives.
- Helping the CALM Trust Swindon to hold a Christmas party for children with cancer.
- Providing Cornhill Macmillan Support Group in Perth with additional services to help patients and their families have a better experience.
This year's partnerships finish this June, and you have an opportunity to nominate your local charity to benefit from next year's Local Community Partnership scheme. Online nominations are now open, and close at 23.59 on Sunday 22 May. You can also nominate your charity in branch. Just pop in to your local branch and fill in a form.
