What does gadget insurance cover?

With Pick and Protect gadget insurance we’ll cover:

  • gadgets totalling between £500-£10,000, with up to £3,000 cover for any one gadget specified when you apply or up to £1,000 for items which you do not specify
  • accidental damage and loss of your gadgets 
  • theft including from an unattended vehicle where the gadget is in an enclosed compartment and the vehicle is securely locked but broken into by force up to £1,500
  • unauthorised use of data up to £10,000
  • mobile phone breakdown after the manufacturer’s warranty expires
  • worldwide cover

What are the main exclusions from gadget insurance?

You won’t be able to claim for:

  • gadgets worth over £1,000 that you don’t declare at the start of your policy
  • a new mobile phone - the replacement we provide will be a refurbished model
  • unauthorised use if you haven’t notified your network provider within 24 hours of discovering your gadget has been lost or stolen
  • loss of stored information such as applications, data, downloads, music, photos or videos
