Guide dogs are welcome in all of our branches.

We also offer the following aids:

  • Leaflets in large print, Braille or on audio tape. You can order these in branch and they will be sent to you directly
  • Cheque book templates to simplify the writing of cheques
  • Bank note guide to help identify the value of bank notes
  • All of our cash machines have a raised dot on the number 5 keypad to help identify the surrounding keys

 

Using our website

You can do the following things within your web browser to make our site easier to use:

You can increase the size of the text on the screen to improve its visibility.

If you're using Internet Explorer

  • In the browser menu, select 'View'
  • Select 'Text size'
  • Select 'Largest'

Alternatively, you can:

  • Select 'View'
  • Select 'Zoom'

And then zoom to an appropriate view.

If you're using Chrome

  • Hold down CTRL on your keyboard
  • While holding down the CTRL key, press the + to increase the size of the text
  • If you need to decrease it again, hold down CTRL and press the - key

If you're using a Windows computer

You can magnify your screen a portion at a time to make the content easier to read. The magnifier window can be moved to a different part of the page or kept in the same place at the side of the screen.

To enable the screen magnifier, follow these steps:

  • Open the 'Start' menu in the bottom left hand corner of the screen
  • Select 'All Programs'
  • Select 'Accessories'
  • Select 'Accessibility'
  • Open 'Magnifier'

If you're using a Mac computer

To magnify your screen when using a Mac, follow these steps:

  • Open the Apple menu in the top right hand corner of the screen, or press CTRL and F1 on the keyboard
  • Select 'System Preferences'
  • Select 'Accessibility'
  • Select 'Zoom'
  • Using the sliders, you'll now be able to magnify the screen to a level that's suitable
  • Select 'OK' to confirm your changes

You can increase the size and the visibility of the cursor to make it easier to see and follow.

If you're using a Windows computer

  • Open the 'Start' menu in the bottom left hand corner of the screen
  • Open the 'Control Panel'
  • Select 'Printer and Other Hardware'
  • Select 'Mouse'

Within the 'Mouse Properties' menu, you can adjust the speed, visibility and size of the cursor for ease of use.

If you're using a Mac computer

  • Open the Apple menu in the top right hand corner of the screen, or press CTRL and F1 on the keyboard
  • Select 'System preferences'
  • Select 'Accessibility'
  • Select 'Display'
  • Using the sliders, you'll now be able to adjust the size and the contrast of the cursor.
  • Select 'OK' to confirm your changes
