We’re all Partners

We know that when customers are happy they’ll want to carry on banking with us. And that a good way to make sure they are happy is by working in partnership. With each other and with our customers too. That’s why we’re all called Partners.

No sales targets

We have removed sales targets and reward our Partners when they actively help people, not when they just sell them things.

No teaser rates

Our Plus account offers all TSB customers 3% interest on balances up to £1,500, which unlike some banks’ current accounts, isn’t just a teaser rate that gets taken away after a year.

Fee free current account

Some banks charge a monthly fee if you want to get their best current account offers.

We refuse to charge a monthly fee for our Plus account so that as many people as possible can benefit from it.

Breaking free is easier than you’d think.

In 2013, the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) was created to make the process of switching current accounts simple. Over 4 million accounts have switched using CASS to date.*

CASS is a free service that lets you switch your current account from one bank or building society to another in just 7 working days. It’s straightforward, guaranteed and hassle-free.

All you need to do is open a new current account and decide when you want to switch. Your new bank or building society will take care of the rest.

As it's backed by the Current Account Switch Guarantee, if you incur any interest or charges as a result of your switch, you'll be reimbursed.

We believe that banking needs to be exposed to the full force of competition.

Only then, will consumers really start to see a change in an industry that's been stacked against them for far too long.

That's why as Britain's challenger bank, we are leading the charge in campaigning for three simple changes that will help people get a better deal and make banking better for everybody:

  1. People need to know the true cost of their banking and whether they could get a better deal elsewhere.

    All banks should come clean on fees, product features and hidden charges. And they should tell customers how much they're really paying for their account, through a standardised 'monthly bill' that explains exactly what they owe or the services they have used.

  2. People need to be made aware of their right to switch.

    All banks should be required to put more effort into promoting the existence of the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) and explaining how easy it is to switch.

  3. Some people with an arranged overdraft can't easily move their account, even if they want to switch banks.

    The industry needs to create a solution, like a credit passport, that would let more people take their overdraft with them, subject to eligibility criteria.
