TSB opens its first new look branch in Enfield

Enfield’s Keats is celebrated in the branch

TSB will open the doors to its first new look branch on Wednesday 18 March, with customers in Enfield being the first to benefit from the new design and technology.

The branch has been arranged in to three areas - transact, explore and consult - to ensure customers receive the best service possible as they soon as they set foot inside the branch.  TSB has installed new technology to help customers receive a first class experience each time they visit the branch.

Transact: TSB has removed the screens on its counters to bring Partners closer to TSB's customers allowing them to engage in more natural conversations.  A new Immediate Deposit Machine (IDM) and ATM have been added which allow customers to pay in cheques, bills and make other transactions without needing to visit a counter should they so choose.

Explore: a giant 84 inch interactive TV screen has been installed which allows customers to explore what TSB has to offer, including 'how to' videos.*  Customers can watch 'how to' videos, view local news and events, whilst little ones can play games.

The new branch has complimentary Wi-Fi for people to use on their own devices or they can log on to TSB.co.uk on the iPads provided in branch - if customers have questions about banking online or queries about the TSB app the Partners in the branch are on hand to help.

Consult: six new meeting rooms have been built for customers to have a conversation about their finances as well as TSB's services.

Get the local look

To mark the launch, the branch is unveiling a specially designed motif of poet John Keats, who was famously schooled in Enfield.  The meeting rooms also make reference to Keat's poems:  Madeline, Autumn, Bright Star, Sunshine, Hyperion and Nightingale.

TSB is committed to the local communities in which it serves and the branch has been designed with this in mind.  A new community chalk board has been installed to enable the branch to promote local community events.

An open invitation

The branch is inviting customers to its official launch days on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March where they can pop in and see the new design, have a cup of tea or coffee and a cupcake with TSB Partners and try out the new facilities.

Enfield's Deputy Mayor, Councillor Patricia Ekechi, will also be joining the celebrations on Friday 20 March at 10.30am to launch the new branch design in Enfield.

TSB is hosting a 'selfie' competition featuring a backdrop of TSB characters on the interactive screen.  All people need to do is take a picture of themselves and share it on social media to be in with a chance of winning.  The winner will receive a £50 prize plus a £500 cheque for a local charity of their choice.**

Francesca Bell, Bank Manager in Enfield comments, "We're really excited to be revealing TSB's first new look branch to our customers in Enfield.  The new layout has been designed to make local banking come to life and ensure our customers receive the best service each and every time they visit our branch.

"We're inviting people to join us in the branch on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March for a chat and a cupcake.  We look forward to seeing all the entries to the 'selfie' competition and hearing about the winner's local charity."

TSB was created to bring more competition to British banking - to be a real challenger to the big banks and to deliver the kind of banking the people of Britain want. TSB only serves local customers and local businesses, to help fuel local economies, because communities thriving across Britain is a good thing for all of us.

We have a simple, straightforward and transparent banking model and make clear on our website how we operate and make money. We offer the products and services people tell us they want, with none of the funny stuff people normally associate with traditional banks.

Our 4.6 million customers, award winning mobile and digital banking, nationwide network of branches and 8,500 Partners mean we are big enough to make a difference, but small enough to be an agile challenger to the entire market.
