Through our Home Emergency cover a tradesperson will repair an emergency loss of essential services in your home, eg water, heating, electricity.
This won't cover you for the repair of any items which are damaged due to wear and tear or for domestic appliances.

For everything that's on that list, estimate the value of each item and add these figures up for a total value. This is the sum that you should insure your valuables for.
Valuables are your jewellery, watches, furs, works of art, items of gold, silver or other precious metals and stamp, coin or medal collections.
If your valuables in the home don't fall under this list, then you don't need to specify them on your policy.
If you consider something to be a valuable but it isn't on our list, that means that you don't need to specify it on your policy. We only require you to specify items in the home that are on our valuables list and over the individual item limit. Please see the

There are a few different ways that you can cover your hearing aids:
Yes but if you live in accommodation you share with people who are not your relatives and have Contents or Starter Contents, only the contents that you personally own will be covered. You can name one of the people that you live with on your policy as a joint policyholder so that their contents are covered too but you can't add more than one policyholder.
For covers other than Contents or Starter Contents, there are no restrictions on the insurance you will be provided with because your home is shared accommodation.
Home Emergency cover is for when you have an emergency that you are unable to resolve yourself like having a blocked drain or if you are locked out of your home.
Starter Contents is when you don't need all the cover offered by Contents cover or don't want to insure all of your possessions.
In some circumstances we may not be able to provide you with cover. However we can refer you to another provider that may cover you for your needs if you call us on 0345 030 8769.
Protected No Claim Discount ensures that your no claims discount won't be reduced and that your premium won't be affected if you make a claim. You will only be eligible for this if you have 5 years no claims discount, been claim free for 3 years and have selected an excess of £100 or more.
