• Contactless payments

If you have a card with a contactless symbol, you can pay for small items £30 and under, just by touching your card on a shop's contactless reader.

    What is contactless?

Contactless is a fast and easy way to pay for purchases up to £30 without entering a PIN. All you have to do is touch your contactless card onto the contactless reader to make a payment.

    How do I get contactless?

We include contactless technology on most of our Debit Cards - if your card has the contactless symbol, it has contactless built in. If you don't already have a contactless card but would like one, just visit your nearest branch who'll be able to help you. Please be aware that contactless cards are not available to everyone (contactless eligibility is subject to status).

Please note: if you have a brand new or replacement contactless card, you'll need to use your card with your PIN before the contactless function will work. This can either be an ATM transaction or purchasing an item in store. This is a security feature to make sure that no-one else has got hold of your card.
