• Setting up Android PayTM

    You'll need to check if your device is compatible with Android Pay. You might find that you already have the app installed. If you have, it should work on your device. If not, search for it within the Play Store. You'll only be able to install the app if your device is compatible.

    You can use Android Pay with any of the following TSB accounts and cards:

    Debit cards supported

    • Classic, Classic Enhance and Classic Plus accounts
    • Select, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Premier accounts
    • Student accounts
    • Graduate accounts
    • Under 19s accounts (for account holders aged 13 and over only)

    Debit cards not supported

    • Cash account
    • Cash cards
    • Business Bank accounts
    • Under 19s accounts (for account holders aged 12 and under)

    Credit cards supported

    • Mastercard credit cards

    Credit cards not supported

    • Visa and American Express credit cards (including Business)
    • Additional card holders

    Registering for Android Pay

    1. Check that your device is compatible with Android Pay

    To use Android Pay, your device will need to be running Android 4.4 (KitKat) or above. To find out what version of Android your phone is running, open your app drawer, tap Settings, then About phone and scroll down until you find details of the Android version. Alternatively, search for the Android Pay app in the Play Store. You'll only be able to download it if your device is compatible.

    2. Add a card to your Android Pay app

    Open the app and select the “+” button. Then tap “Add a credit or debit card” and follow the instructions.

    3. Verify your device

    To make sure it's you who's trying to register the device, we'll give you the option to complete the verification by SMS or a phone call. If you choose SMS, we'll send a verification code to your mobile. Enter this in the Android Pay app to complete set-up.

    4. Start spending!

    And that's it - you're ready to start spending with Android Pay. In most stores you'll be able to spend up to £30 per transaction. In apps, there's no upper limit.
