device. You can also use it to pay within participating apps.
Android Pay works with devices running Android 4.4 or higher and having Near Field Communication (NFC) capability.
Android Pay is preloaded on some Android devices. Other eligible devices can
get Android Pay by downloading it from Google Play.
You can use Android Pay to make contactless payments wherever you see one of these symbols.
a. Download the Android Pay app to your device from Google Play Store. You'll only be able to see the app in Google Play Store if you have an eligible device.
b. If you already have a card that is registered with Google Play, you can add that card to Android Pay by following on screen instructions and confirming a few details.
c. You can also add your eligible TSB card to Android Pay by following the simple steps below:
i. Tap the + sign in the app
ii. Enter your TSB card details and address details
iv. Verify your cards for security then follow the on-screen instructions. For security purposes, we may ask you to enter a one-time passcode to confirm your identity. We will send this code to you via SMS.
v. If you don't have a device screen lock, you'll be prompted to set up one for security.
You can use Android Pay to make purchases up to £30 in shops that accept contactless payments. To pay with Android Pay, just wake your device and hold it against the contactless payment terminal to complete your purchase. For security, you may occasionally be prompted to unlock your device. In either case, there is no need to open the Android Pay app.
The first card you add to Android Pay becomes your default card to make payments. If you prefer to use your TSB card to make payments, then make sure you set it as the default card in your Android Pay settings. You can do this by simply selecting your preferred TSB card in settings and tapping 'Set as default card'.
You can use Android Pay to make purchases in participating apps. When prompted for payment, simply tap on the 'Buy with Android Pay' button and follow onscreen instructions to complete your purchase. Your default card with Android Pay will be used to make the purchase.
Yes you can add as many cards as you want. If you have a particular TSB card that you prefer to use, then make this the default card in your Android Pay settings. If you want the same TSB card on two different devices, you'll need to add the card onto each device separately.
Android Pay works with the majority of TSB current accounts and credit cards. Here's a list of the cards and accounts that are and aren't available:

Please note: if you have a brand new or replacement credit card, you'll need to activate the card for Android Pay to work. This is a security feature to make sure that no-one else has got hold of your card.
You can make contactless payments up to £30 per transaction in all stores offering the service. In apps, there's no upper limit. For security, you may occasionally be prompted to unlock your device to complete the purchase. We may restrict the number of payments or the value or both that you can make using Android Pay to protect you from fraud. Please make sure you carry your debit or credit cards just in case.
Yes, you can use Android Pay for journeys on TfL and National Rail services in London.
Android Pay allows you to ride on the London Underground, bus, tram, DLR, London Overground, TFL Rail and most National Rail services in London. Just make sure you touch-in and touch-out using the same device to avoid incomplete journeys and benefit from fare-capping. And don't forget, you will need to keep your device switched-on and have enough battery life to complete the journey.

Yes, Android Pay does not send your actual card details when you make a purchase. Instead a virtual account number is used to represent your card information to the merchant and complete the purchase, so your card details stay safe.
A Virtual Account Number is a unique number representing your card that is assigned to Android Pay. This helps ensure account security because they differ from the actual card numbers they represent.
The only card data stored on your Android device is the Virtual Account Number that Android Pay passes to the payment processor. This number represents your card and helps ensure account security because it differs from the actual card number it represents.
You'll need to re-register your credit or debit card(s) on the replaced or upgraded device, as they won't be transferred automatically. Please make sure you remove your card(s) from your Android device before you dispose, sell or exchange it including passing it to someone else temporarily (for example, service or repair).
It's easy to remove your debit or credit card. Select the relevant card in Android Pay then select 'remove card' at the bottom of the screen. This will remove the card instantly.

If you have enabled remote location access on your device, you can find, lock or erase it using
Android Device Manager
. Since Android Pay doesn't store your actual card details on your device, anyone who finds it or steals your device won't be able to access that information. That's true even if it's unlocked.

Yes, you'll still be able to use your contactless card to make payments.
TSB does not charge customers to setup and use Android Pay but you may incur charges from your mobile network provider depending on your data plan.
The usual debit and/or credit card charges apply to purchases.
Yes, you will earn the rewards that already come with your TSB debit or credit card.
Android Pay refunds and chargebacks work the same way as physical card refunds and chargebacks. That is, you should work directly with the retailer to refund a transaction. With purchases made with Android Pay, use your Android Pay device that you used to make the original payment and simply follow the below steps:
i. Android Pay, select the card that you used to make the original payment. To check you have chosen the correct card, you can compare the last 4-digits of the Virtual Account Number in 'Card details' with the details on your receipt
ii. Hold your Android device near the contactless terminal to receive the refund
Yes, you'll be able to make payments using Android Pay to retailers who accept contactless payments. Remember that contactless transaction limits may vary depending on the country - for example, most UK retailers are set at £30.
Standard overseas charges will apply according to your card terms and conditions when you use Android Pay to make transactions abroad. Your mobile network provider may apply additional charges for network and data usage depending on your plan.
