A different kind of bank.

TSB isn’t like other banks. We’re here to challenge the big banks, to bring more choice and competition to UK banking. That way we think we can make banking better for everybody.

We exist for one reason only: To help create a Britain where people and the communities we live in can thrive together.

We are all Partners at TSB and we believe that acting in your interests makes us more successful too. The happier our customers are and the more they thrive, the more we thrive as well. You’ll notice it in our products like the Plus account, the Fix and Flex loan and Pick and Protect home insurance.

Take a look at this page and you’ll see how we work together with our customers so the more they put in the more Plusness they get out.

In 1810, Henry Duncan set up a bank for hardworking, local people. His principles live on in TSB today and still drive what we do.

We only serve local communities right here in Britain and nowhere else.

We don’t do investment banking and big corporate finance. So we’re not distracted by some of the things other big banks spend their time on. We stay true to our roots.

We use every penny our customers deposit to help other customers. That helps the local economy grow and local people prosper all over Britain.

We know that when customers are happy, they’ll want to carry on banking with us. One way to make sure they’re happy is by working in partnership.

We also work in partnership with each other. That’s why we call our staff Partners. And reward them when they do as much as they can to actively help people, not when they just sell them things.

By working in partnership, we profit with our customers, not from them.

Like every great partnership, the more you put in, the more you get out. We call this Plusness and you can earn it in lots of ways.

One example is our Plus account, which pays 3% AER variable interest on balances up to £1,500. *

If you opened your Plus account before 1 March 2017

You earned or are still earning up to £5 cashback monthly on the first £100 of contactless payments each month. **

If you opened your Plus account on or after 1 March 2017

You can earn up to £5 cashback every month for having two Direct Debits each month. And you can also earn up to £5 cashback monthly if you make 20 debit card payments each month until 30 June 2018.

More ways to earn Plusness

Open a Monthly Saver account and earn 2.00% gross/AER fixed for 12 months from opening when you save £25 - £250 each month by standing order.

And receive 1% cashback each month on the first £500 you spend using an eligible TSB credit card until June 2018. 18.9% APR Representative (variable).

And we’ll keep looking for ways to make your Plus account even better and continue to offer you as much Plusness as we can.

Please always check your terms and conditions to see how much Plusness you can earn.

Banking in branch will always be at the heart of what we do. So we’ll continue to invest in new branches and our Partners to serve local communities like yours.

But local banking isn’t just about bricks and mortar. It’s about banking the way you want.

You can do it on your mobile, tablet, computer, using Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Paym. You can also bank by phone and, of course, in branch.

It’s what we call local banking on demand. And you can do it wherever and whenever you decide.

We’re proud to be part of the local community. And every year each of our branches supports a local, independent charity that helps local people.

They’re called Local Charity Partners and they're chosen by customers, TSB Partners and members of the public. So far, we've helped over 900 across the country. We do this by fundraising, helping raise their profile and volunteering our time.
