In 1810, Henry Duncan set up a bank for hardworking, local people. His principles live on in TSB today and still drive what we do.
We only serve local communities right here in Britain and nowhere else.
We don’t do investment banking and big corporate finance. So we’re not distracted by some of the things other big banks spend their time on. We stay true to our roots.
We use every penny our customers deposit to help other customers. That helps the local economy grow and local people prosper all over Britain.
We know that when customers are happy, they’ll want to carry on banking with us. One way to make sure they’re happy is by working in partnership.
We also work in partnership with each other. That’s why we call our staff Partners. And reward them when they do as much as they can to actively help people, not when they just sell them things.
By working in partnership, we profit with our customers, not from them.
Like every great partnership, the more you put in, the more you get out. We call this Plusness and you can earn it in lots of ways.
One example is our Plus account, which pays 3% AER variable interest on balances up to £1,500. *
If you opened your Plus account before 1 March 2017
You earned or are still earning up to £5 cashback monthly on the first £100 of contactless payments each month. **
If you opened your Plus account on or after 1 March 2017
You can earn up to £5 cashback every month for having two Direct Debits each month. And you can also earn up to £5 cashback monthly if you make 20 debit card payments each month until 30 June 2018.

Monthly Saver account and earn 2.00% gross/AER fixed for 12 months from opening when you save £25 - £250 each month by standing order.
And receive 1% cashback each month on the first £500 you spend using an eligible
TSB credit card until June 2018. 18.9% APR Representative (variable).

Plus account - 3% AER/2.96% gross variable interest (paid monthly) on balances up to £1,500. Must pay in a minimum of £500 a month, register for Internet Banking, paperless statements and paperless correspondence.
Direct debit and debit card cashback. For accounts opened on or after 1 March 2017 only. Offer ends 30 June 2018. You must be registered for Internet banking.
Credit card – subject to status and lending criteria. Must be UK resident and 18+.
Monthly Saver. Interest paid on maturity. You need to have a TSB current account to apply. One account per customer. AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year. Gross rate is the contractual rate of interest payable before the deduction of income tax.
*Remember, it’s important to regularly log in to your internet banking account to continue to receive interest.
** Contactless cards subject to eligibility. For accounts opened before 1 June 2016, the contactless cashback offer ended 30 December 2016. If you opened your account on or after 1 June 2016, you will still earn the contactless cashback until 30 September 2017.
